AMRITSAR: Three women were abducted and one of them was raped in police custody on Sept 5 in Valtoha police district in Tarn Taran. Rashpal Kaur 23, Swaran Kaur 25 and Kartar Kaur 60, were produced before newsmen by AISSF president Manjit Singh.
After persistent protests by resident of Amar Kot village the authorities were forced to take action. SI Avtar Singh, ASI Kali Das Sharma and Head Constable Bhajan Singh were suspended along with two constables. Bhajan Singh is in custody.
