MADRAS: The Haryana Chief Minister Devi Lal, charged here that seven of his party MLAs had been whisked away on August 26 evening to Delhi and offered Rs 45 lakh each to defect to the Congress (I).

Addressing a joint press conference with the National Front leaders and non-Congress (I) chief minister, Devi Lal said that this was the level of corruption the Congress (I) had descended in to in its desperation.

He said that the Central Government was using its agencies like the RAW to foment the Bodo trouble in Assam the Naxalite violence in Andhra Pradesh and Sikh terrorism in Haryana.

Meanwhile in another press conference the Tamil Nadu Congress (1) leader, G.K Moopanar denied National Front leader Mr. V.P. Singh’s allegation that the Congress (I) was trying to purchase DMK MLA’s in Tamil Nadu.
