Pam In The Wild!
Pamella Bordes, the 27 year old former Miss India and the House of Commons scandal girl is again in the news, She is planning a solo expedition into the African bush to save the African black rhino from extinction.
Wildlife conservationists, however, have certain misgivings. They think that during her 17 day trip to Botswana, she may not see even one black rhino. There are only about 10 of them alive now. Bordes plans to sleep under canvas and canoe down Zambezi river.
No one knows if she will be able to go because the Worldwide Fund for Nature or the Daily Express, to which she approached for 5,000 pounds in return for exclusive pictures of her trip have show a little interest. Her “mission” was described by her critics as “a grand public stunt.”
Even her boyfriend, Nick Adam, 25 year old stockbroker, will not accompany her. But Pamella insists, “I’m not doing this for myself only for the rhino.”
