NEW DELHI: Kalp Nath Rai, the Union Minister of state for power said here on Friday that the Janata Dal president Vishiwanath Partap Singh’s call to the Congress (I) men to revolt against Rajiv Gandhi is a part of wide international conspiracy sponsored by CIA and its agents among the reactionary and communal forces in the country who are out to transform India into another Lebanon or Afghanistan in the coming period.
In a statement here Rai said Y.P. Singh fondly hoped that he will be thrown up as the next Prime Minister of India on the crest of chaotic political atmosphere. He is perhaps encouraged to launch such an attack on the Congress leadership, now because of the revolt by Rao Brinder Singh and expulsion of N.J. Gowda from the Congress for his anti-party activities,
According to Rai, V.P Singh Chamelion of Indian politics who was expelled from Congress I in the midst of political crisis of 1987 created by his own anti national activities as Finance Minister evidently put a new gun plot to destabilize the political life of India, He has proved himself as a faithful agent of the CIA, Mr. Rai added.
