Gurdit Singh Dandass has been nominated for inclusion in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. This publication is on the largest and most respected in the nation, recognizing students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities in academics, athletics, school activities and community service. Only 5% of our nation’s high school students are chosen for WHO’S WHO each year. Gurdit is a recent graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School. During high school Gurdit was a member of the National Honor Society, was selected as a Kansas Honor Scholar, won medals at the Science Olympiad, and participated actively in Spanish Club, Categories, Knowledge Bowl and Mathematics.
Gurdit is also active in the community (Midwest Sikh Association). He plays tabla during most services held on Sundays at the Gurdwara in Kansas city and sometimes sings shabads on the harmonium.
Gurdit is the son of S. Ranbir Singh Dandass and Kirpal Kaur Dandass of Shawnee, Kansas.
