AMRITSAR: The police has seized a new weapon the first of its kind.
Although the senior officers are looking up literature for its proper name, the CRPF DIG. Mr. SS. Virk, said it was a “sniper rifle.”
The weapon was shown to the Director General of Police, K.P.S Gill, It is fitted with a telescope. There are no markings on it, It is difficult to ascertain its origin. Its year of manufacture seems to be 1982. The sniper rifle was recovered from the farmhouse of Kanwaljit Singh, Chairman Milkfed at Khankot village during a raid on this evening.
