NEW DELHI: Different factions of the Jharkhand movement of Bihar today held “useful” discussions with Union Home Minister Buta Singh in search of a solution to the 60 year old problem.

The two hour talks were held in a cordial atmosphere and each of the Jharkhand factions put forth its views, an official spokesman: said after the meeting.

Ina memorandum submitted to the Centre the various factions have among other things demanded a separate State comprising 21 Advise dominated districts of Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa…

The memorandum also mentioned the dimension of the problem as well as the steps needed to solve it,

Buta Singh told the Jharkhand leaders that the Centre had been able to find mutually acceptable solutions to various problems in other parts of the country.
