DES MOINES, IOWA: At the annual fund raiser of Iowa Republican party, Lincoln Day dinner, the leading members of Sikh Americans Heritage Foundation met Lee Atwater, the Chairman of National Republican Party. The foundation briefed Mr. Atwater about the inhumane tortures, naked brutality and gang rape of innocent Sikh girls by the Indian police. What a shameful demeaning act of humanity by the so called greatest democracy and religious nation in the world that rapes its own girls in India? Mr. Lee Atwater was also made aware of the Indian Government’s state terrorism by crushing the minorities and killing the Sikh masses in “fake encounters.”
An urgent sense of emergency was conveyed to Mr. Atwater for the support of Sikh Human Rights Bill, HR 1067 now in the US Congress awaiting for hearings and prompt action. Mr Atwater assured the Foundation that he shall lend his full support for our bill in the Congress. The Foundation members also made a well-documented presentation to low a Republican delegation in Congress for their support in the US Congress and in Senate. The Foundation is determined to dedicate its support for the cause of Sikh Nation.
