By Our Correspondent CHANDIGARH: Punjab was in position to hold elections to the Lok Sabha whenever they are held State Governor S.S. Ray told a Press conference here.
Ray also announced that the state had produced 12 million tons of wheat last year.
He lauded the Punjab police and said that the Operation Black Thunder in which police snipers killed anything that moved in the Golden Temple including a number of Sikhs and even pet animals was the highlight of his administration’s actions.
He did not refer to or condemn the numerous reports of police atrocities on Sikh men, women and even children in the state.
