CHANDIGARH, India: The Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi has set up an eight member advisory group on the Punjab situation. Announcement to this effect. Was made yesterday evening. Headed by the Veteran Politician, Mr. Jagjiwan Ram, the group will apply its mind to the problem of National Integration in the context of the Punjab situation. The Congress (I) Vice-President, Mr. Arjun Singh has been named as the convener of the group, whose members have been chosen from the recently constituted Twenty one member standing committee of National Integration Council. Other members of the group are PN. Haskar, Khuswant Singh, Prem Bhatia, Mrs. Aruna Asif Ali, Mr. Rajashwara Rao, and Mr. L.K Advani.
