Sikhs all over the World are getting increasingly convinced that the ruling community in India is bent upon destroying the distinct, Sikh identity. There is also increasing realization that Sikhs cannot expect justice and freedom in a set up that has come to be governed by the intolerant Brahmin lobby.
To arrest this potentially explosive trend, the scheming policy makers in Delhi have put into operation some subtle designs specifically devised to create confusion and conflicts within the Sikh ranks, The strategy is to mislead the unsuspecting minds through is interpretation of the unambiguous message of the Sikh Gurus, Sikh Scriptures and Sikh traditions. Sikh philosophy is being projected as only a simpler version of the Vedantic thought and Sikh religion as no more than a domestic offshoot in the all-embracing Hindu Pantheism.
For this purpose Indian Government has recruited some Sikh mercenaries who have descended on the foreign scene, particularly in England, America and Canada, in the guise of Kirtan Jathas, Youth Camp Organizers, self-proclaimed Sants, pseudo scholars and pimpish journalists. Fictitious societies and forums like “Sache Patshah forums” have suddenly sprung up and are pouring misleading leaflets that talk of preserving the sanctity of the Gurdwaras and plead for their exclusive use for religious rites and ‘ceremonies. They all speak the same language and lament over what they term as misuse of Gurdwaras for political purposes. They impliedly blame Sikhs themselves for the Operation Blue Star, undermine the martyrdom of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and squarely hold All India Sikh Student Federation and Damdami ‘Taksal responsible for vitiating the age old Hindu Sikh “harmony.
They talk of forgive and forget. They are endeavoring to reduce Gurdwaras to the level of Hindu temples. Some of them even go to the extent of obliquely suggesting that by incorporating sociopolitical aspects into Sikh religion Guru Gobind Singh departed from Guru Nanak’s essentially Bhakti Marg.
To destroy the credibility of Sikh organizations and individuals engaged in the constructive task of educating the World regarding the realities of Sikh plight, they spread insidious rumours, exploit Personality clashes and instigate ambitious self-seekers. Their sole aim is to defeat the efforts of self-respecting Sikhs for a life of dignity and honour.
All such renegades need to be thoroughly exposed. They must be ‘made to realize that time for their wicked game is over. They should be given the same “hot welcome” as was recently given at a New York Gurdwara to a self-styled Sant from Delhi who is a well-known puppet of the Indira Gandhi family and is currently touring the United States to mislead unsuspecting minds. He was told to study the basic tenets of the Sikh religion and reread Guru Nanak’s Bani,
Sikh citizens of America and Canada are required to get special permits to visit their families in Punjab and it is a near impossible task for an average Sikh to obtain a passport or the permitted foreign exchange but these groups and teams move in and outside of India freely. They face no difficulty in obtaining passports, visas and even extra foreign currency. Every Sikh is a suspect in the eyes of the Indian government except these “privileged” mercenaries will have to be vigilant and must coldly snub all such aberratio the community to keep their banner flying,
