LONDON, Oct. 5, Reuter: Poland produced the second Upset of the World Cup Hockey tournament when they defeated India 10 through a first half goal by Andrazej Mysliwiec today. Argentina provided the first shock yesterday when they defeated World and Olympic champion’s Pakistan 31 and today it was Poland’s turn to surprise when they toppled the other traditional power of the World hockey.

India was frustrated by Polish goalkeeper Zbigniew Kulpa, who somehow got in the way of a series of penalty corners as the Indians pressed for a second half equalizer.

Inspired by the skillful stick work of their Captain Mohid Shahid, India had also been dominant early on but again failed to break through and the Poles took brief command before halftime to score the only goal.

Winger Wojciech Klatt pulled the ball back after a superb run and ‘Mysliwiec swept it home.
