SAN JOSE, Ca: Bhai Gurdeep Singh, Member Khalistan Council (U.S.A.) in a written statement to World Sikh News disclosed that the main objective of the Khalistan Council in USA. is the establishment of a sovereign Sikh State and restoration of basic human rights to the Sikhs living in India, “The Council ‘vehemently condemns the tyrannical policies being pursued by the Government of India in dealing with the Sikh problem. We remind the Hindu rulers of India to remember that the Sikh fought to protect their religion. The policy of Indian Government to use traitors like Zail Singh, Buta Singh, Sujit Singh Barnala, etc. against the Sikhs will never be successful. These traitors will be punished according to the Sikh traditions. He also released a copy of the letter that the Council has sent to Indian President, Mr. Zail Singh. The letter is reproduced below. “The Khalistan Council of U.S.A. is shocked to see your picture worshipping the Statues of Krishna t Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, This s an insult to as well as misrepresentation, of Sikh religion to the world. It is because of “show boys” like you that provide the Government of India an opportunity to tell foreign Governments that the Sikhs are not being discriminated against in India”.
He said that new offices of the Khalistan Council have started ~ functioning in Washington, D.C., with Jathedar Jagjit Singh Rathore as in charge and at Phoenix with S. Harbhajan Singh as in charge (Phone No: 602-581-38-49). Three more offices will shortly be opened. Bhai Gurdeep Singh also informed that S. Ganga Singh Dhillon had been made Advisor to the Khalistan Council of U.S.A. at a meeting held in the Council office at San Jose on Sept. 28, 1986; S. Ganga Singh’s acceptance of the new assignment was formalized with Ardas before Guru Granth Sahib.
