PATIALA India: Mr. Karnail Singh Panchali General Secretary of the youth Wing of All India Shromani Akali Dal (Badal) at Patiala alleged that security forces were torturing the recently released Sikh youth. He said that such an action would lead them towards extremism for which the State Government would be responsible. He quoted a number of instances of youth was being tortured at Patiala Bhawanigarh and Sangrur. Referring to the arrest of Darshan Singh Mattewal the youth leader alleged that the police wanted to kill him in a false encounter. He said that Mr. Matuwal was being given inhuman treatment. Panchali also blamed the C.R.P.F. and the B.S.F for the indifferent attitude and wanted the immediate withdrawal of these forces Meanwhile Sher Singh Dumsheri President Youth Akali Dal (Badal) and Mr. Pancholi in a separate statement criticized the statement of Congress (I) MP Mrs. Amarjit Kaur that some Akali Ministers were opposing the implementation of Punjab Accord.
