CHICAGO, ILL : The role of World Sikh News in championing the Sikh cause in a sober and methodical way was highly acclaimed by all shades of Sikh opinion at the public session of the WSO held here in the Gurdwara ‘on June 15, 1986. Speakers expressed their deep appreciation at the steady progress of the WSN and hoped that it would shortly develop into a powerful voice of the Sikh nation as a whole.
Dr. Manohar Singh Grewal appealed to all Sikhs to subscribe to it. He was joined in his appeal by the President of Chicago Gurdwara S, Harbhajan Singh Gakhal, Bibi Jasbir Kaur, S. Rajinder Singh Gill, S. Amarjit Singh Sidhu and S. Rajbir Singh of the Youth Wing.
- Balwant Singh Hansra appreciated its role in educating and informing the Sikhs about the various problems and issues confronting the Sikhs today.
Dr. Karamjit Singh Rai felt that every Sikh must consider it his duty to promote this newspaper. “What else can we hope to accomplish if we cannot make just ‘one newspaper a great success” he asked. Dr. Rai has been playing a significant role in shaping World Sikh News and in soliciting subscriptions for it. The success of World Sikh News is largely due to the collective efforts of committed men and women like him.
