NEW DELHI, India Four people were killed and at least 50 injured when a cyclone struck the northeastern Indian state of Rajasthan overnight, the United News of India reported today.
The news agency said the storm, accompanied by rain and high winds, damaged hundreds of houses and tore down utility lines. Communications with the area remained disrupted, UNI said,
Three people were injured when theater in the town of Dhaulpur collapsed, and 15 others were hurt when a passenger train and a bus overturned in a nearby village, UNI said.
Dhaulpur is 124 miles east of the Rajasthan state capital of Jaipur.
