NEW YORK : World Sikh Organization plans to stage a big demonstration before the Indian Consulate on June 6, 1986 at 10:30 a.m. to protest against the June 1984 Army attack on the Golden Temple in which thou- sands of innocent pilgrims were massacred and the holy Akal – Takht was destroyed.
WSO (US.A.) appeals to all Sikhs to join the demonstration. The participation has become doubly necessary in view of the second assault on the Golden Temple. Government of India appears to be bent upon desecrating Sikh holy shrines on one pretext or the other. Sikhs living abroad must expose to the World the true character of the ruling Congress Party in India which is out to suppress the minorities in order to placate and appease the communal passions of the Hindu majority.
