VANCOUVER B.C. : Hindu leader and President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of B.C. Narinder Dhir has charged that the Indian Consulate office in Vancouver is not doing its proper functions which its meant to be.

Narinder Dhirs main criticism against the Consul General Jagdish Sharma is that he did not invite elected leaders of the Indo-Canadian community to let them meet High Commissioner Chatwal during his recent B.C. visit.

Dhir said in a statement that Sharma perhaps thought introducing his personal friends to the High Commissioner was more important than the real representatives of the community. Some of the community’s problems could have be~ en better understood had the High Commissioner met the right kind of community leaders instead of the phoney ones.

He says some of the acts of the Consul General create bad relationships in the Indo-Canadian community by his non-stop interfering acts in the internal affairs of various organization.
