TORONTO Ont: Jathedar Talwinder Singh Babbar welcomed the Sarbat Khalsa Resolution calling for the establishment of Sovereign Sikh State called Khalistan. The resolution was adopted at the Baisakhi day Sarbat Khalsa Convention held in the Golden Temple Complex.
He informed the World Sikh News correspondent that it would be suicidal for the Sikh nation not to extend unstinted support to Bhai Mohkam Singh Baba Thakur Singh and Harinder Singh Kahlon convener A.I.S.S.F.
Jathedar Talwinder Singh was received by a large number of Sikhs at the Toronto airport when he reached there along with Bhai Ajaib Singh Babbar. He participated in the Baisakhi celebrations and joined the procession. At Gurdwara Malton he appealed to the Sikhs to rally under Guru Gobind Singhs Kesari flag and support Damdami Taksal and A.I.S.S.F.
He also attended a congregation at Gurdwara Hamilton where he unfurled the Nishan Sahib (Flag). Subsequently he addressed the congregation at Sri Guru Singh Sabha. S Narjit Singh Bar-at Law from U.K. who was Talwinder Singhs defense attorney both in Germany and Canada also spoke on the current Sikh problem.
