PEKING — Banker David Rockefeller arrived in Peking Saturday, where he is expected to meet top Chinese leaders.
Rockefeller, retired head of the Chase Manhattan Bank, will attend a reception to mark the fifth anniversary of the bank’s China office,
Rockefeller said he hopes to meet Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping and Premier Zhao Ziyang, “if they feel they have the time or the inclination.”
KATMANDU, Nepal A seven member Chinese delegation arrived in Katmandu Saturday fora visit aimed at promoting bilateral ties.
‘The delegation will visit tourist centers and meet former Prime Minister Kirtinidhi Bista, who is credited with forging closer Nepal China ties.
