NEW DELHI: Scientists at the Tuberculosis Research Centre (TRC) in Madras have developed a test that will use saliva instead of blood to estimate how a Tuberculosis patient is responding to drugs. The new test is a significant advance in Tuberculosis research and will be a handy tool in the Tuberculosis control programme, TRC biochemist G. Raghupati Sarma told the Press Trust of India.
