CHANDIGARH: The officer connected with excesses on the youths of half a dozen villages of Hargobind Pur area in Gurdaspur district has been asked to enquire into the complaints of the villagers.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala police district, Pundit Sita Ram will go into the complaints and submit a report to the D.I.G. (Border) G.LS. Bhullar.
Bhullar was apprised of the situation by representatives of the villages whose youths were picked up and severely beaten up without any distinction or discrimination. He, in tum, brought the complaints to the notice of the LG. BS.F. Whose men carried out the Operation torture?
The villagers of Bham, Cheema Khuddi, Bhambri and Padda alleged that about 100 youths of the villages were detained illegally and beaten up by the security forces recently,
