PATIALA: A West German (under 21) hockey team will play four Test matches in. India during the first fortnight of May, according to « communication of the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) here

The IHF has invited bids from its affiliated units for staging the Test match for which no capitation fee will be charged by the federation. The THF has also laid the condition that the matches will only be played on synthetic surfaces.

‘The Patiala Union Hockey Association A an affiliate of the IHF is also making a bid to stage one of the Te: Prof Gursewak Singh, Secretary of the Association, He hoped that the bid of the Association would find favor with the State Governments the staging of a Test match will have a big boost to hockey in this part of the region,

Meanwhile a 16 member Indian Hockey Team is going to Holland to participate in the four nation tournament.
