AMRITSAR: The unified Akali Dal, President Mr. Japdev Singh Talwandi today announced the following office-bearers of the patty: Senior Vice-president Mr, Parkash Singh Majitha: Vice President Mr. Gurdey Singh Badal General Secretaries Mr, Manjit Singh Calcutta, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Mr. Shaminder Singh, Party Secretary Mr. Manjit Singh Tarn Tarani; Chief Adviser, Mr. Mewa Singh Gill, MP, Propaganda Secretary Mr. Tarlochan Singh Babbar, on March 31.
He also announced the following members of the working committee Mr. Gurcharan Singh Tohra, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, Mr. Surjan Singh Thekedar, Mr. Ujaggar Singh Sekhwan, Mr. Harcharan Singh Gill, Captain Amarinder Singh (Retd), Mr. Ravi Inder Singh, Mr. Balwant Singh, Mr. Bachittar Singh from Ropar, Mr. Arjan Singh Litt, Mr. Amar Singh Nalini, Mr. Randbir Singh Cheema, Mr. Nirmal Singh Kahlon, Mr. Balwinder ‘Singh Bhunder, Mr. Kuldip Singh Wadala Mr. Harbhajan Singh Sandhu, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhillon, Mr. Jaswinder Singh Brar and Mr. Janmeja Singh Sekhon from Ferozepore.
The working Committee, if need be would be further expanded since there were at least three more vacancies. The party constitution allows a working committee of 31 members and the executive of 101 members, Mr. Jagdev Singh clarified.
Mr, Surjit Singh Niddar would be the office in charge Chandigarh suboffice, The party headquarters would be in Baradari inside the Golden Temple complex.
Mr. Jagdev Singh also announced Presidents of Delhi, Bengal and Chandigarh Union Territory units of the party. They were Mr. Avtar Singh Hit, Mr. Mehag Singh Garib and Mr. Ranjit Singh Riar respectively he said.
Mr. Jagdev Singh said that district level meetings of party workers would be organized shortly and the district “jathebandis” announced within a week.
