ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Prime Minister Mrs. Benazir Bhutto has reiterated that her country would not sign the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Unless India does and proposed the regional solution to the nuclear issue with India.
In an interview with a Canadian daily, The Toronto Star, she said there had been a sense of competition in Pakistan in this regard and that she stood for a regional solution to the problem.
There had been three wars between the two countries. So a nation’s self-respect and pride is involved and people in Pakistan felt discriminated, she opined.
