LOS ANGELES: In respectful memory of Sardar Mokand Singh Sidhu, bhog ceremony was held on June 16, 1990 at the Sikh Gurdwara of Los Angeles, Lanker shim, North Hollywood, California. Sardar Mokand Singh was born to a family of devout Sikhs at the village Mehraj, District Bhatinda. His forefathers, Baba Kala and Baba Karamchand were disciples of Sri Har Gobind Sahib and fought in the side of the Guru in the battle with Lalla Beg. Sardar Mokand Singh led a disciplined life of a baptized Sikh. He was respected for his dedication to the service of the community.

Bhog ceremony was attended by a large gathering that included the representatives of all the Gurdwaras in Southern California. Flowing the Gurbani Kirtan, Sardar Sidhu was euologised by Dr. Balkar Singh Husson, President of Gurdwara, Alhambra, S. Gurcharan Singh Dhillon, World Sikh Organisation, and S. Jaswant Singh Dhillon. General Secretary of Gurdwara Vermont, Dr. Amrit Singh, Council of Khalistan and S. Mehma Singh. The ceremony was arranged by S. Malkiat Singh Sidhu, a distinguished architect and developer, his family, brothers and sisters. S. Gurcharan Singh President of WSO, S. Atma Singh secretary of the gurdwara, S. Jaswant Singh Gen Secy of the gurdwara at Vermont, Dr. Amrit Singh of Khalistan council and Dr. Balkar Singh president of the Alhambra gurdwara speaking after the bhog ceremony.
