CHANDIGARH: Enthused by the massive success of the June7 bandh, the Panthic Committee and other militant organisations are planning a new program for Punjab.

The Panthic Committee announced that the new program would have public consciousness as its goal and to bring the ideal of Khalistan to people’s awareness. It would also counter all political manouvers of the Indian govt in collaboration with the old Akali leaders and cultural allies elsewhere.

The panel described the appointment of Bhai Ranjit Singh as new Jathedar of Akal Takhat in place of Prof Darshan Singh as a cunning conspiracy and a reminder of the dirty games being played by foxy Akali leaders and asked Bhai Ranjit Singh to decline the offer. Any such appointment has to be made by a Sarbat Khalsa on the basis of certain principles.

The Panthic Committee also cautioned certain elements settled abroad against their disruptive pronouncements which create unnecessary misunderstandings among militants.

Meanwhile Harinder Khalsa Chairman PHRO rejected an SGPC offer of Administrator of the Engineering College here. He criticised SGPC chief Tohra for his unbilled ways and asked Bhai Ranjit to do the same.
