CHANDIGARH: Punjab looks a veritable army camp. Vehicles mounted with deadly guns and soldiers with automatic weapons are patrolling round the clock all over the state. An additional reinforcement of over hundred thousand Soldiers has joined the heavily deployed full four divisions that seem to have been permanently stationed in Punjab.

The border with Pakistan has been totally sealed and all bus services between Hayans and Punjab have been suspended for one week. All these measures have been taken to meet any eventuality in the wake of “Genocide Week” being observed by the Sikhs in com memoration of the army attack on Darbar Sahib (Golden  temple) last June in which 6000 Sikh pilgrims massacred by the Hindu regiments of Indian army.
