AMRITSAR: According to reports reaching here the Beas police station has been surrounded by several thousand people demanding the release of over 100 innocent Sikhs held in custody there.
The angry crowd told this reporter that these youth and women had not been produced before a magistrate for more than a week and that there were no charges against them.
