CHANDIGARH: A border security force personnel and a special police officer were among seven people killed while militants kidnaped three persons in the Punjab since Sunday night. Over the week 37 lost their lives including eight belonging to the Khalistan Liberation Force. A large quantity of arms and ammunition besides cash and valuables of over four hundred thousand rupees were seized.

A BSF constable was killed in a powerful bomb blast near a security picket in a market at Sri Hargobind Pur of Batala police district, Sunday night.

Three personnel were injured in the blast and hospitalized,

A special police officer (SPO) was gunned down near Sultan wind area of Amritsar district Sunday night.
