NEW DELHI: At least 6 people were killed and over 30 injured in a powerful bomb explosion in a bus in North West Delhi Friday evening.
Police said the blast set the bus afire. The blaze of the bus also engulfed a Maruti van.
Condition of several of the injured, was described by doctors as “serious.”
Police said the explosive device had apparently been planted inside the bus. The explosion was so powerful that it ripped the bus apart.

The blast comes close on the heels of the explosions inside two West Delhi police stations on April 10 in which at least 11 Policemen were injured. Immediately after the April 10 blasts, police had put all forces on ted alert and stepped up vigil at airports, railway stations, important government buildings and other installations.
