OTTAWA: Bob Peck, a spokesman for the Canadian External Affairs, has denied the report that foreign minister Joe Clark is to visit India shortly to examine the working of the Canada India joint agreements in various fields.
“With a new government taking office in India and the commonwealth foreign ministers conference scheduled to be held in Nigeria in April, it is unrealistic to expect Clark to visit India at this time,” Peck said.
The Canadian government too denied that Clark would visit India in the near future.
