CHANDIGARH: The erstwhile prince of Patiala, (Capt.) Amatinder Singh, was appointed chairman of the Akali Dal (Badal) Parliamentary Board, on Thursday.
The SGPC chief, Mr. Gurcharan Singh Tohra, former speaker, Mr. Ravi Inder Singh, and the former Finance Minister, Mr. Balwant Singh, are among nine members appointed to the working committee of the Dal.
Announcing the list, the party chief Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, said Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Mr. Kuldip Singh Wadala had been appointed general secretaries.
