LOS ANGELES: Dr. Amrit Singh and Mrs. HarjaswiAder Kaur were blessed with 4 sons on March 2, 1990. The boy has been named Jujhar Singh.
It is a matter of great happiness as the Sekhons became proud parents after 11 years of their marriage. Earlier the couple was blessed with their first son in Nov 1979. But Ranbir as he was named left for heavenly abode at the early age of one year, after a short span of illness.
The matter took a turn for the worse, when Mrs. Sekhon developed a secondary infertility. The family knocked every door for treatment at different medical centers. Finally Mrs. Sekhon went to Guru’s dwar at Ross street Vancouver. After reciting “Asa ji Di War” She prayed to the almighty for a child’s “Dat.”
Soon after their luck started turning. After trying gift procedure for two times she then went for an artificial insemination of three gamed periods, which was fertilized in the tube from the eggs of Harjaswinder Kaur and sperm of Dr. Singh. Later the gamete was transferred to the uterus.
Sekhons told this correspondent that they had full faith in Guru’s grace. They cited numerous instances where their faith even clashed with the medical opinions and finally it proved true. Dr. Sekhon is a known Heart Specialist and is running his own hospital “Azusa family health care and Urgi Center” and also a Cardiology clinic in Arcadia Dr, Singh as he is popularly known as a dedicated Sikh making every effort and sacrifice for the attainment of freedom for the Sikh community.
He was probably first Sikh leader who voiced the demand of Khalistan during a TV interview soon after the attack on Harminder Sahib in Amritsar.
