NEW DELHI: Lalu Prasad Yadav of Janata Dal will be the new chief minister of Bihar.

In Maharashtra, Chief Minister Sharad Pawar expanded his two day old Congress I RPI (Athawale) council of ministers inducting 18 more members and 23 ministers were added to the Bharatiya Janata Party ministry in Madhya Pradesh.

In Bihar, Yadav emerged victorious in a “‘secret trial of strength” at the crucial Janata Dal legislature party meeting in Patna against state Janata Dal president Ram Sunder Das and state party unit’s parliamentary board chief Raghunath Jha.
