AHMEDABAD: One more worker of Premier Vishwanath Pratap Singh’s Janata Dal was shot dead and two others, including a 60 year old woman, were critically injured, allegedly by supporters of the Congress I at Sanosara village in Manavadar constituency of Junagadh district, Janata Dal sources here said.
A spokesman of the Janata Dal, said a group of Congress I supporters from nearby Ronki village attacked the Dal workers and fired at them when polling was in progress. The assailant later escaped, he said.
The injured were removed to Manavadar hospital where the condition of the woman was stated to be “serious”.
Last week a Janata Dal worker was shot at Ahwa in Dangs “district in a group attack.
