Bhavnagar: The rightist BJP leader, Vajpayee, emphatically stated that “no power on earth can take Kashmir from us and warned Pakistan against its “‘futile” attempt to do so for the fourth time.
Speaking at an election meeting in Bhavnagar in western India, in support of BJP candidates for the ensuing assembly polls in Gujarat, Vajpayee said that Pakistan, who had attempted to take away Kashmir thrice since it was acceded to India by its former rulers, would be given a “befitting” reply the fourth time as well.
The BJP leader blamed the previous Congress-I government for the situation prevailing in Kashmir and Punjab, and said the ruling National Front government at the center was trying to defuse the tense situation.
