CALCUTTA: The All India Congress Committee-I (AICC-1) Sunday that “the soft policy” of the VP Singh government towards secessionists in Punjab had begun to “extract the predictable heavy price from our nation.”
“It is only because the government in Delhi is perceived to be either weak or uncertain that the All India Sikh Students Federation (Manjit) has become so emboldened as to announce the creation of the Khalsa panchayat all across Punjab, AICC-I spokesman, M.J. Akbar said.
