NEW DELHI: President of the All India Newspapers Editors Conference (AINEC) Vishwa Bandhu Gupta expressed concern over the way the Pakistani media was whipping up passions over Kashmir.
In a statement here, Gupta regretted that the anti-India campaign was being led by Pakistan’s information minister Ahmed Safed Awan.
The objective, Gupta felt, “was to incite secessionists, terrorists and fundamentalists in the northern most Indian state.”
A member of Parliament, Gupta said the AINEC would’ be sending a delegation to Kashmir to study the situation there and look into the allegation that the state administration was acting in & “high-handed manner” towards the press,
