SRIGANGANAGAR: The President of the Akali Dal (Mann), ‘Simranjit Singh Mann, has said his party will contest 12 assembly seats in the coming elections in western Indian Rajasthan state.
Mann told reporters on Tuesday his party would field candidates for nine seats in Ganganagar district, two in Alwar and one in Bharatpur district.
Mann also said peace could only be achieved in troubled Punjab state if the government held talks with the chief of the Damdami Taksaal, Baba Thakur Singh and the All India Sikh Students Federation as, “the key to the solution of the Punjab problem lay with them.”
