NEW DELHI: Over eleven kgs of contraband gold worth more than Rs three million was seized from a businessman by the customs (preventive) officials have during raids on his factory in the capital.
The accused, S.K. Agarwal, had allegedly concealed the yellow metal in the premises of his factory. In his earlier statement he admitted to have indulged in smuggling on earlier occasions also, the customs counsel Satish Aggarwala told a Delhi court.
The accused was produced before the metropolitan magistrate Thursday who remanded him to judicial custody till January 29.
