AHMEDABAD: In one of the biggest hauls, the customs officers of Gujarat state, on India’s West coast, seized 250 slabs of silver, valued at Rs 58 million, from a Pakistani vessel, “Al-Khalid” off Kodinar-Madhwad sea coast in Junagadh district Friday.

Action on a tip off, the customs officers kept watch and intercepted the vessel after a hot chase in the sea, according to Gujarat customs collector Vierndra sinh.

Eight members of the crew, including two Indians, four Pakistanis and two from Zanzibar, had been apprehended.
