NEW YORK, NY: A motion for transfer was filed by U.S. attorneys in the extradition case of Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhminder Singh of February 13.
The government seeks to transfer the case from the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York to the United States District Court for the district of New Jersey.
Attornies for the respondents had filed the writ of habeas corpus in the United States District Court for the District of Southern New York when the case is at present pending.
The government motion will be argued in New York in Marchand it is for the court to decide whether or not it will be transferred.
