WAGHA, AMRITSAR: Senior Indian border security officials and their Pakistani counterparts Thursday agreed to make coordinated patrolling on the Indo-Pakistan border more “effective and result-oriented”, Amitabh Gupta, inspector general of the Border Security Force (BSF), Rajasthan and GujTat range, said here.
Gupta headed the Indian team at the two-day bi-annual meeting of security officials of two countries held at the Indian side of the joint check post here,
The Pakistan side was led by major general Naseer Ahmed Khan, director general of Pakistan Rangers.
Gupta said during the meeting issues regarding repairs and re placement of boundary pillars and review of coordinated patrolling were discussed at length.
