Baldey Singh Sangha belongs to Village Chak Sangha near Simbli district Hoshiarpur. Originally his great grandfather had migrated from Village Kala Sanghian, District Kapurthala. His grandfather S. Santa Singh migrated to USA in 1907 and owned an agricultural farm of 180 acres. But he left for heavenly abode in 1972. S. Baldev Singh was born to Sardarni Amrat Kaur and S. Kishan Singh in 1946. His father was an Amratdhari Gursikh.

Mr. Sangha got matriculation certificate from Arya School Nawan Shehr jn 1964. He migrated to USA in 1968. He was married to Mrs. Parkash Kaur in 1975. They are proud parents of six children Sandeep Singh (8), Sarbjit Kaur (6) Ranjeet Singh (4) Gurinderpal Singh (12) Kulwinder Singh (10), and Gurdeep Kaur (2).

Sardar Sangha is a popular figure in Sikh social circles. He is always seen on the forefront in every sphere of activities. He is the President of Sikh Gurdwara at Selma. He had been Vice President of Gurdwara Sahib at Stockton for 5 years. His personal contribution of $40,000.00 went a long way to inspire others to contribute liberally for Gurdwara Sahib Caruthers. Mr. Sangha has never returned anybody who had approached him for donations.
