PATIALA: The general session of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) to elect a new president and other office bearers would be held at the Teja Singh Samundari Hall in the Golden Temple complex at Amritsar on November 30. Talking to newsmen here the SGPC secretary, Mr. Manjit Singh Calcutta, who is also the general secretary of the United Akali Dal (Talwandi) said the patty president, Mr. Jagdev Singh Talwandi had been authorized to announce the party’s Candidate for president of the committee on the day of the elections.
He hoped’ that the elections would be unanimous condemning the killings at Batala and Ladhowal in Ludhiana district on Friday he said the United Akali Dal and the SGPC were always against killings and State terrorism. Rs
