CHICAGO, Reuter: Heavyweight Boxing Champion Mike Tyson fired another Salvo in his martial wars by charging in an interview that his strangled actress wife and her mother dislike black people and would have liked to be white,
“They (wife: Robin Givens and her mother Ruth Roper) don’t like black people,” Tyson said in a copyrighted interview in the Sunday Chicago Sun-Times.
“They want to be white so bad, the way they talk about black people you’d think you were living with the Ku Klux Kian,” the Champion told the newspaper inside promoter Don King’s 32 room mansion in Windsor, Ohio.
“I’m serious. They don’t believe in people that broke their ass. They thought they ‘were royalty. She and her mother want so much to be white, it’s a shame.”
On Friday, Tyson filed for a divorce from given sand for an annulment, charging he had been duped into marriage by her false claim of pregnancy.
Givens, who in a nationally televised interview last month said her marriage to ‘Tyson was “pure hell,” had filed for two weeks earlier.
‘Asked in the newspaper interview if he thought Givens and her mother were after his money, Tyson said: “Now I’d have to agree… didn’t before, but I do now.”
Tyson told the Sun-Times “the main reason I married her when I did was because I thought she was pregnant. She said she was and I feel that once I get someone pregnant then it’s my responsibility to take care of the woman and my baby.
Earlier in New York Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson made a stinging counterattack on Friday in the battle with his wife Robin Givens by filing a divorce suit of his own charging he was tricked into marriage by a faked pregnancy.
The suit filed by Tyson in Superior Court in Trenton, New Jersey, followed Given’s divorce suit brought on October 7 in California, where divorce laws could yield an even split of his estimated 50-million dollar fortune
