AMRITSAR: Unidentified gunmen kidnapped one Home Guard Jawan and a shopkeeper in separate incidents.
According to police sources, some unidentified persons kidnapped four Jawans of Home Guard in a boat who were engaged in rescuing Operation in the’ flood affected area near Kot Buddha village under Harike police station early this morning. While three of them Mukhtiar Singh, Balwant Singh and Hazari Lal were let free after some time, the kidnappers escaped with the fourth Jawan Pargat Singh towards Manawala village.
In another incident, two revolver brandishing youth stopped a shopkeeper Madan Lal and his son Raman Kumar near Guddiwind village in the Jhabbal area, kid napped the father and snatched his bag.
