CHANDIGARH, India: Mr. Randhir S. Chima, former Punjab minister has announced his decision to quit the Akali Dal (L) along with large number of his supporters and offered his services to the acting Akal Takht Chief Prof. Darshan Singh Khalsa.
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Chima gave the same advice to Surjit Singh Barnala. He felt Surjit Singh should give up confrontation with Akal Takht. Instead he should appear before Akal Takht and apologize for his act of omission and commission so that all Akalis should come together on a single platform. Only then they could negotiate with the Centre and bring about permanent peace in Punjab.
