NEW DELHI, INDIA: Authorities found 69 bodies inside a bus that was pulled from a canal Monday in the Northern State of Punjab, a news agency said.
The victims included 14 children, 13 women and 42 men, the United News of India said. Eighteen passengers, including three children, were pulled from the canal shortly after Sunday’s accident and taken to hospitals.
The bus, carrying passengers from the village of Barnala to New Delhi, plunged into the canal while attempting to pass a truck, the report said.
